Important results from the project

We will developping a completely new visualization product that surpasses anything available today, for architects, planners, construction industry, etc. It is based on Augmented Reality glasses + high precision sensors thatprovide a positioning accuracy of centimeter level. The user should be able to load the 3D models of houses, into Hägring, which can be located anywhere in Sweden, this is done through our cloud service. The user will use Hägring and see the drawing in 3D and full scale. It is as if the building is already built!

Expected long term effects

We´ve have now a product, Hägring that we can let produce with short lead time, up to 2 months. We tested out on the field with potential customers, and it has worked well! We have now a product that allows the user to place a 3D model of a house where it is supposed to stand with the GPS coordinates on centimeter level. The user can see the house as if it were already built and move freely in and around the house. The user gets a complete understanding of how the house will be both in appearance and size.

Approach and implementation

We bought various hardware, evaluated and integrated most of a balanced system. It turned out that the parts separately worked well, but together it could be trouble. There arose a problem that is not anticipated that needed to be resolved. The different parts of the system has had to be tuned in to the whole work well together. We also tested the product in the early stages of potential users to gather information about which features are most important to focus on. It is especially the 3D design of the models and file formats that have changed.
