Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim of the project is to promote the collaboration and exchange of knowledge between Jönköping Tekniska Högskola (JTH) and Fagerhult, as well as to improve and develop both research and teaching opportunities in materials technology and sustainable manufacturing. Through increased mobility for researchers and integration of Fagerhult in the education programs, the project aims to strengthen future collaborative projects with manufacturing companies and contribute to increased sustainability in the industry.

Expected effects and result

The project has qualified a researcher as a university lecturer, which strengthens the academic competence at JTH with increased opportunities to run advanced research projects and improve teaching. New materials that reduce climate impact have been identified and implemented in Fagerhult´s products. This has already led to concrete improvements in the product´s environmental impact. Investigations into new materials and manufacturing methods have been implemented and are ongoing, which creates the conditions for future innovations within Fagerhult´s product development.

Planned approach and implementation

The researcher has been one day a week at Fagerhult to ensure direct involvement with the company with monthly planning meetings. The researcher has been a link in the exchange of knowledge between JTH and Fagerhult. Visits to Materialbiblioteket and companies have widened the perspectives and provided relevant information. Seminars have been held at Fagerhult. Overall, this setup and implementation has enabled a more dynamic and integrated collaboration between JTH and Fagerhult, resulting in solutions and innovations that are directly applicable in Fagerhult´s activities.
