Important results from the project

The aim of the Green Freight Train is to develop more efficient transport systems where rail is a high capacity and quality transport mode that that contributes to reduce the total energy consumption and emissions from transport. It can be done both by rail or intermodal transport in itself will be more efficient and because they are so good that customers are increasingly choosing rail instead of truck. The solutions will be developed in collaboration between scientists, industry, transport companies, authorities and manufacturers.
