Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is for doctoral students to gain in-depth knowledge of current trends in sustainable production and advanced technologies, with a focus on their implementation in a Swedish industrial context. The project supports the goals of Produktion 2030 by strengthening research collaborations and enhancing Sweden´s competitiveness in sustainable and digitized production.

Expected effects and result

The project focuses on increasing participants´ understanding of how sustainable production systems and advanced technologies can be applied in Swedish industry. The participants will contribute new knowledge to research areas related to Produktion 2030, particularly in circular systems and AI. The project is expected to strengthen international collaborations and lead to new insights and partnerships related to future industrial innovations and sustainable solutions in Sweden and Canada.

Planned approach and implementation

The project includes a ten-day study trip to Canada, where participants will visit research institutes, universities, and companies within the fields of sustainable production and digitization. The trip includes workshops and seminars on circular production systems, AI, and digital twins. Participants will travel between different regions to establish contacts and future collaborations. A report and video presentation will be compiled, documenting the participants´ insights and reflections.
