Important results from the project

The aim was that we want more young people will be to realize innovative ideas, grounded in their own needs with the support from local entrepreneurs. The goal was 8 good pilot projects with a total of 20 young people will be employed on the projects. The result was six applied pilot projects which we are happy withs. In these six pilot projectss, we know that 7 young people will be will be engaged and by our experience, we estimate that at least 10 young people will be involved in total. This is significantly lower than we had assumed at the start.

Expected long term effects

We expected that all young participants gained greater experience of identifying needs and finding innovative solutions and to become confident in pitching them. The need identification led to a variety of needs and the pitches was generally good. Ultimately, we see that it leads to increased innovation capacity in these individuals. All participants gained an increased experience of innovation meetings and new relations that would not otherwise be created. Some have chosen to meet after the project.

Approach and implementation

Initially, the young Helsingborgers worked with need identification. It was challenging at first to think of the needs, not ideas. The needs were packaged and they practiced pitching to the project managers and to each other. At the beginning of the speed-dating sessions, it became a focus on getting to know each other and at the mingle afterwards more ideas came up. Afterwards, many youth and entrepreneurs worked together to create pilot projects with support from the project managers.
