Important results from the project

The purpose of Glowbal Innovation 2013 was the implementation of a unique meeting project between young people from Helsingborg and experienced entrepreneurs that would result in a number of pilot projects. The goal was 5 projects and a total of 8 young persons employed in those projects. The result was 5 projects and 13 young employees which we att very happy with.

Expected long term effects

One result we established that we wanted to reach was that at least two of the following pilot projects would lead to new innovations that continue to evolve. In autumn 2014 we will know how it turned out. A positive effect was that 20 young persons in Helsingborg got a wider entrepreneurial experience and network that they can spread in our Forza network where they now share their experiences on Forzas network meetings. We also expect positive attention around the project during the autumn spreading of project results in our network.

Approach and implementation

We built on the experience of Vinnovas projects previous to Pilots 2013. 3 steps; stimulate, engage and catalyze. The focus was youth environment in Helsingborg. 20 young from Helsingborg and 11 experienced entrepreneurs participated in the project. In the phase ´stimulate´, we had three meetings where we identified needs. This was followed up actively in a Facebook group before the phase ´connect´. Speed Dating brought them together. The young people and the entrepreneurs were encouraged to seek pilot projects. We have also supported the entrepreneurs in the application process.
