Important results from the project
The projects aim has bee reached through 16 deliverables. GAIS has shown that smart ICT-tools could strenghten industry by creating flexibility in time and spac, but also flexibility among defferant competencec within the company. Standards and strategies is proven to be vital if to create a globalisation of assembly instructions.
Expected long term effects
The result has primarily been an increased understanding and expertise of the complexity of designing global strategies for assembly instructions among the involved parties.
Approach and implementation
The project has kept a high pace throughout the duration of the project , which has been due to the fact that most partners have contributed and worked systematically with internal projects. Through master´s theses and doctoral projects, the pace has been steady through the project. Continuous workshops has put demands on the partners to package and present their results for the other members of the project. Some demonstrators have been unable to be implemented due to changes within the company , this we hope to do in a continuation project .
