Important results from the project
The purpose of the Marie Curie was two-fold - to support my professional development/integration into the Swedish research force and to meet specific scientific goals related to nanocellulose-based barrier materials.
Expected long term effects
The goals of the project were generally met. In terms of professional development, my existing network was maintained and expanded, particularly toward Swedish and European industry and academia. Additionally, I now have a permanent position at RISE as a senior researcher, which I credit to the Vinnova/Marie Curie project, which allowed me to become acquainted with Swedish industry and it with me. In terms of scientific goals, I think good progress has been made in my time at RISE toward CNC barriers that can maintain performance at high relative humidity.
Approach and implementation
Project implementation was generally smooth and was facilitated by my mentor at RISE (A. Swerin) and my managers (B. Gregertsen and A. Stenemyr). My mentor and managers facilitated and supported my professional development within RISE and with Swedish industry, as well as connections in academia to further support my research goals.
