In dialogue with pupils and teachers, as well as relevant stakeholders, the project has formulated principles fore further development and implementation of FUN in practice.
Expected long term effects
The project has generated a number of solutions that can be understood as principles for the continued development of FUN. (1) To shift focus from lack of physical activity among pupils to movement as a human right. (2) The digital innovation is not about inventing new technologies but using existing technologies in new ways, in new contexts and with new objectives in view. (3) Focus on the development of bodily competence and joy of movement. The expected effect is increased commitment and participation for the pupils.
Approach and implementation
The project started with the creation of a vision film that illustrated the innovation FUN. The film was presented as a basis for discussion during a number of workshops conducted with pupils, teachers, school leaders, specialists in special education and specialists in physical education. A working group consisting of researchers in public health science, sports science and information technology, as well as employees from the municipal council of Skaraborg and a health professional within a municipality, were continuously meeting to analyze the workshops.
