Important results from the project
The target to deliver a demonstrator has been reached. It include (1) database with digital references to presented fashion items (2) Real time video production system (3) Software for computer vision (4) User interface for viewers.
Expected long term effects
Swedish fashion business, which had a turnover of 264 billion SEK in 2014, needs to decrease its environmental impact e.g. by reducing its production that cannot be sold to full prize. We have presented the concept at many occasions, events and in media, and have therefore increased the awareness of how the most recent computer science can be applied to increase sustainability.
Approach and implementation
The project has followed the plan. However, we udnerestimated the time and effort needed to build both the streaming module and the computer vision module. Developing this high-end system has required hard work from the team.
