Important results from the project
The objective of the project has been to produce and disseminate research findings with the aim to contribute with suggestions regarding how the Swedish system for production of welfare services may be improved. The objective and the aim of the projects have been attained through the research reports that have been published and the activities that have been carried out in order to communicate the research findings.
Expected long term effects
The results of the project consists of the reports that have been produced and the dialogue between researchers and decision makers within business, politics and government inspired by the research findings. The expected effects of the project is an increased fact based knowledge base regarding the production of welfare services in Sweden.
Approach and implementation
The project has been a collaboration between SNS and the Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN). It has been managed by two research directors, Henrik Jordahl (IFN/SNS) and Ilinca Benson (SNS). Academic scholars have been engaged to write the reports. A reference group constituted by representatives from private and public service providers, and governmental agencies has followed the project. Great efforts have been made to communicate the research findings.
