Purpose and goal

Residents´ trust in public actors is a prerequisite for preventative and supportive work. Lack of trust in the public sector can, among other things, have a negative impact on the extent to which residents take advantage of the support offered and thus contribute to unequal living conditions. Several processes are underway in the municipality where a transition to strengthened trust-building work is necessary. The project will result in a plan with suggestions for methods and working methods.

Expected effects and result

The project will result in a plan where possible methods and approaches are identified to how Järfälla can strengthen its trust-building methods and approaches and develop a comprehensive perspective and collaboration regarding the issue. In the long term, the project is also expected to result in a strengthened trust in the public sector among the residents within the municipality, which is a prerequisite for a strong local democracy and equal living conditions.

Planned approach and implementation

The project consists of three parts which together form the basis for a plan: - A broad compilation of knowledge that highlights the issue of trust from different perspectives. Evidence from, for example, research, available data, residents and the idea-driven sector will be used. - An organizational analysis to identify possible organizational obstacles to strengthen trust-building work. - A testbed for methods and approaches within citizen dialogue and co-creation processes.
