Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose of the project was to create contact between the research group in ore geology at LTU and French researchers from Montpellier University for collaboration in the development of methods for microanalytical characterization of critical metals. We have achieved these goals and also created the conditions for future collaboration with other research institutes in France and also Portugal.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We have presented our knowledge in ore geological research and analysis to researchers from French universities and research institutes (also from Portugal) and in exchange learned their expertise and equipment. The various parties agree on their interest in collaboration in research and development of laboratories and are eager to support future applications regarding the study of critical metals in Europe.
Approach and implementation
We, researchers in ore geology at LTU, participated in the kick-off meeting for the ANR-funded French project ´Critical Metals in Orogens´ (led by Bénédicte Cenki, Montpellier Universitet). The meeting was attended by researchers from several French (and also Portuguese) universities, research institutes, and consulting companies. Networking activities were mixed with presentations from participants and discussions and planning around the project. Before the meeting, we also had the opportunity to visit labs at Montpellier University and discuss methods and analysis data.
