Purpose and goal
Places of the future in Halland - FramHall
We will teach and apply foresight methods on two areas of public space in Varberg with a focus on blue/green structures and a new district in Halmstad for Mobility.
4-helix target groups participate in workshops to practice the methods and provide some basic support to respective case owners.
The consortium also includes The university college in Halmstad, Fredblads Arkitekter, Varbergs Fastighets AB, Vivab and Coompanion Halland.
Expected effects and result
The effect of the project is expected to be an increased and regular use of foresight tools in community building processes, which can lead to higher sustainability values until the year 2049. This includes both municipal planning and how larger developers can integrate sustainability and visionary thinking in their new construction projects and development of existing areas. We foresee that this requires an extensive dialogue process that includes workshops and actor dialogues.
Planned approach and implementation
The project runs from 1 November 2024 to 30 September 2025 and focuses on foresight work through knowledge transfer, dialogue processes and visual tools to engage different target groups. It begins with six knowledge blocks where experts in foresight, mobility and sustainable construction share their expertise. Three workshops and dialogues are conducted to engage participants in the development of future scenarios.
A final prioritization takes place of proposals and some are visualized.
