Important results from the project
The purpose of the Founders Alliance IMSE 2013 was to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurs in Stockholm in need of innovations that are specific to the market and that can be apply to other similar environments both nationally and internationally. We reached students where innovation and trendsetting are important elements of the environment they live and work in and achieved an expanded interdisciplinary exchange between the participants. Five experienced entrepreneurs involved in three applications to Pilots in 2013 to test these solutions based on identified needs.
Expected long term effects
Students: 60 participants at the kickoff, 22 at the camp, 12 were matched with entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs: Involved a total of 10 entrepreneurs from Founders Alliance, five entrepreneurs applied to Pilot 2013 in three projects. Supporting Organizations: Excitera invited several schools in SSES and gave spillover and linkages to entrepreneurship in KTH. Expected effects, a continuing future enhanced exchange between experienced entrepreneurs and behovsidentifierare providing social impact through idea realization when we bring them.
Approach and implementation
The implementation was planned in December 2012. We planned the project on the basis of time when Excitera deemed best, to achieve maximum number of participants both at the kick-off, as the camp and finally the pitch. We booked early up entrepreneurs in their calendars to ensure their participation. It would have been advantageous to place the kick-off earlier than April 10, because of many activities for students in April, preferrably feb-mar. The camp was conducted April 19-21, worked well with high participation among selected. The workshop and the pitch for entrepreneurs was June 3.
