Important results from the project
The purpose was to plan and arrange an international wood conference in Sara Culturehouse and The Wood Hotel in Skellefteå to present results from ForestValue 2017. The conference was held on 20-22 of June 2022, which was also filmed and broadcast digitally. Seven project presented the latest development of wood materials in different areas and solutions for different stakeholders. The projects presented were CLICKdesign, DynaTTB, FIRENWOOD, Hardwood_joint, InFutUREWood, InnoCrossLam, READiStrength
Expected long term effects
The ForestValue 2017 projects are at the forefront of research and demonstrate the application of wood materials in various areas and offer solutions for several stakeholders. The results, in turn, add facts to researchers, decision-makers, business and society as a whole. The videos can be viewed afterwards. The conference received a good score in the evaluation 4.6 out of 5 possible. Some of the comments were that it was a good gain of knowledge, that the topics were cross-border and educational, a good opportunity for networking and new ideas for future development and collaboration
Approach and implementation
Karin Sandberg RISE, has planned, organized work, shared information and anchored discussions with financiers, participants from the seven projects as well as the ForestValue secretariat etc. Had contact with The Wood Hotel regarding conference rooms, light, sound, food and coffee, prices etc. Coordinated stage design, purchase of material, filming and digital broadcast as well as distribution of the results with Producenterna in the North. Together with LTU show the activities at Campus. Coordinated guest lecturer about developing Sara and Tree House Safari in Skellefteå.
