Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to provide data to better certify young people´s knowledge and skills to match them with jobs in the software industry. In this study, the goal was to conduct a series of seminars and workshops with companies and young people, in order to identify their needs. In total, there were two seminars for young people, two for businesses and two workshops in which the parties jointly participated. Expected effect is that a certification method to be developed for the software industry recruitment, based on the conclusions. There were different opinions regarding the preferred method, but it is leaning towards a combination of various methods. For example is a common ad is not always sufficiently communicative to get a person with the right skills to feel targeted, it often sounds too limiting. By developing the method of recruitment to the accuracy of recruitment improves. In the project, we conducted two seminars for companies in the software industry to identify needs. We subsequently undertook two inspirational seminars for youth and two workshops where representatives from both companies and young people participated. The seminars for the youth was out of service so that they were able to test the programming, working with case and answer a questionnaire regarding how they want to apply for jobs in the future. The activities were held in both Gothenburg and Stockholm.
