Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to identify a clear target segment where we could develop our product to find "product-market-fit". Thanks to the project funding, we have succeeded in this after many customer interviews and several iterations. Our future focus will be decentralized restaurants in B2B settings. For these companies, increased sustainability requirements drive demand for our type of solution. This, in turn, provides a clear intersection between profitability and emission transparency, something that was somewhat lacking in other segments.
Expected long term effects
The result of our project is that we have a very clear picture of how to develop our product over the coming months. The insights we´ve gotten through all the interviews and the prototypes we developed have led to several interesting pilot projects and bigger business opportunities. Thanks to these results, our chances of survival will increase significantly, and the product we develop will create more benefit and impact than would otherwise have been possible.
Approach and implementation
The design and execution of the project have largely followed the project description we sent in before the project. The biggest change was that we identified a couple of additional segments to analyze during the project period. Initially, we thought we would do some traveling to meet potential customers and conduct various user tests. This was actually done mostly digitally. One lesson from the implementation itself was that more time than we thought had to be spent on navigating within different organizations in order to get information from the right people.
