Important results from the project
The overall goal with the project has been to undertake a detailed examination of various issues with the ambition to create a database which reflects stockholdings in Swedish public corporations.
Expected long term effects
Within the project we have outlined a detailed plan of how to construct and maintain a database for students and researchers which enables detailed studies of how equity ownership is related to firm specific characteristics. We have also received positive feedbacks from Swedish researchers in this attempt.
Approach and implementation
The first task within the project will be to co-ordinate all different databases. Following discussions in several seminars, it is important that the system is easy to use. We have used and also consulted IT-specialists to handle security issues. Our goal is to release an early version already in year 2015.
