Important results from the project
FOV contributes to identification, dev. and dissemination of technology solutions based on competence when it applies to measuring, optimizing, testing, planning and distributing large data flows. FOV is the regional node that allows FoI environments to interact with innovative companies and vice versa. We contribute with the technical prerequisites for new smarter solutions. We are working for better cooperation with other more industry-oriented actors.
Expected long term effects
FOV - as a regional and national innovation environment, contributes to sustainable growth through: Strengthening competitiveness and a more multifaceted business community in the region and nationally in a number of important industrial sectors. Strengthened positioning of the region both nationally and internationally as a competitive region within the knowledge sector. Increased cooperation between the region´s R & D actors, where FOV is a regional introduction node, with links to international partners within FOV´s strengths.
Approach and implementation
FOV has focused on the work on five areas of activity. These have been identified on the basis of the position that FOV has achieved as an innovation environment and the challenges of the strategy means and will contribute to sustainable development: Node for sensor technology and optical fiber for sustainable industrial renewal Smart Specialization Corridor Effective test bed for sustainable social development Innovation and commercialization in SMEs Internationalization Sustainable implementation Digitization as a general orientation has grown more important for FOV!
