Important results from the project
The project aimed to understand employers´ interest in more methodical work concerning working parents, what they would gain from it/ROI and whether a standard for the area would be an innovative way of promoting competitiveness in different markets. The study investigated links to existing standardized areas such as work environment, social responsibility, inclusion and gender equality, as well as interest in a standard on a national and international level. The goal was met, the study gave a picture of the issues and was positively addressed by the approx 250 respondents.
Expected long term effects
The study shows that employers are positive towards more structured work with the combination family-work. The area is high on agendas and many want to exchange experience and develop common guidelines. Identified impact/added value/ROI are more satisfied employees, increased commitment, health, gender equality, attraction and retention. It can increase productivity, competitiveness and provide a better work environment, for all. A standard would give guidelines and add to social sustainability.
