Important results from the project

Our aim is to ensure that society as a whole benefits from user-friendly systems for cybersecurity, digital privacy and the protection of personal data and enabling actors in AI to practically know how to move forward to create a sustainable and responsible management and development in AI. Also, create a digital system with processes that comply with rules in the field of AI, with a focus on standards from UNESCO and the work with system integration in international standardization. In this project, we have achieved this.

Expected long term effects

To create a prototype of a tool that can help the user of this to design and develop verification of the AI process, both at the code level and at launch, to be used by companies and organizations that thereby achieve traceability, distribution of patents and innovations, in accordance with rules, regulations and standards in the field of AI. The result is expected to prevent risks, establish ownership, identify responsibility and ensure quality through the AI value chain. The outcome under this project has facilitated to reach this goal, on an international level.

Approach and implementation

1 We have built an international consortium (within EU and Japan) for a continued R&D process with both researchers, companies and policymakers for collaboration in a H2020 proposal. We have analyzed how we can go beyond state of the art and how results can be exploited. We have done a SWOT- and risk analysis. 3 We have produced a detailed research and technology development plan and made a budget for how we will implement it and reach TRL 8. 4 We have had coordination between the project parties so a continuous dialogue has been promoted and analyzed success factors for a collaborative project.
