Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to improve and further develop existing design software and to add a user interface for a better experience on our website when ordering. With the help of the further developed software, we only need a fraction of the time we needed at project start. The design work has also been simplified and we now handle considerably more orders. We have begun to handle first international orders and with a developed user interface in place that is officially launched in the spring (on a new website) we are very pleased with the project and the goals we had set up.

Expected long term effects

The time we spend on each individual order has decreased significantly to a fraction compared to project start. The time can vary widely and is largely due to challenges related to a complex prosthetic setup or shape - to design the product to harmonize with the properties of the prosthesis. We can handle a larger number of orders and can sell to a larger market geographically.

Approach and implementation

The collaboration between different project partners has worked well. We formed two work packages to clarify the different phases and costs involved. The project has, however, been shaped so that the different parts have become more integrated into each other and many parts and decisions are dependent on each other for the best end result, possibly more dependent than we planned and also dependent on activities outside the project´s framework. We are satisfied as a whole and the project has given us valuable knowledge about future planning for similar projects.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
