Important results from the project
The goal of this project was to improve production capacity in large-scale open pit mines. The project has worked with workshops with all partners where the outcome has been that the results have been continuously reported to all partners involved. The project has been carried out both through data analysis and field studies in the mine. Internal systems and data sources have been used extensively, but extensive long-term measurements have also been carried out by the academic partner on site.
Expected long term effects
The project has developed new knowledge with regard to material flows. This is an important part of making optimizations, good planning and follow-ups. The effect can be a more proactive mining of ore with regard to energy optimization and production optimization. A new method for characterizing blasted masses has also been developed.
Approach and implementation
The structure for the implementation has been as follows: * Workshops with all partners during the project * Dataanalysis * Field studies * Programmering and machine learning
