Important results from the project

The aim of the project has been to help Swedish SMEs with the Horizon 2020/Horizon Europe and Eurostars research- and innovation programme. The goal has been to spread the word about the research programs, but above all to get more Swedish companies to write applications, apply and receive funding from these programs. This has been fulfilled by offering support in finding the right calls, understanding regulations and what is required to get an application approved, as well as reading and giving feed-back on written applications. Support during the project phase has also been included.

Expected long term effects

The project has contacted 2608 companies via newsletters & e-mails and has provided: General/specific support of H2020/Eurostars 475/562 times to 438/443 companies. Reading/commenting on H2020/Eurostar applications 193/38 times. 28 training sessions for 364 participants; 3 Eurostars, 9 SME instrument, 8 EIC Accelerator & 8 pitch training courses. The participants have been trained/coached in planning, structuring and application writing. 40 companies have pitched their ideas and over 2100 companies have been reached through the 44 events that the project has participated in

Approach and implementation

Implementation has been done via work packages (AP). AP 1 Project management has had overall responsibility for the implementation of the project. AP 2 Communication and Information has been responsible for marketing the project at relevant events and for the LinkedIn page and website www.eusme.se. AP3 Funding opportunities have been responsible for the initial contacts with companies seeking support. AP 4 Application assistance and project support have been responsible for the in-depth support to companies. AP5 Training for SMEs has been responsible for workshops for companies.
