Venture Call for proposals to promote participation in Horisont Europa
Call Promote Swedish participation in Horisont Europa: planning projects in Sustainable industry 2021

Important results from the project

RISE AB, Uppsala University, Graphmatech AB and Talga AB have built up a consortium addressing the Horizon Europe call ´HORIZON-CL5-2021-D2-01-04: Environmentally sustainable processing techniques applied to large scale electrode and cell component manufacturing for Li ion batteries´ and successfully submitted a proposal titled ´ Eliminating VOC from Battery manufacturing through dry or wet processing (NOVOC)´.The consortium consisted of 17 partners and coordinated by RISE.

Expected long term effects

Strong participation of Swedish partners in the NOVOC consortium including Uppsala University, Graphmatech, Talga and RISE will strengthen Swedish position in European battery research. The consortium also contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by accelerating the commercialization of novel inventions, strengthening the network, and promoting greener battery production in Europe.

Approach and implementation

The NOVOC consortium is coordinated by RISE AB and composed of 17 partners. The proposal itself is divided in two parts (Part A and Part B). Part A describes general information about the partners. Part B is total 45 pages long and divided into excellence, impact and implementation. The excellence section describes project objectives, methodology, gender dimension and open science practices etc. The impact section describes the expected results, output, outcome, communication measures, exploitation etc. The implementation section describes the details of implementation.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
