Important results from the project
Thanks to financing via Vinnova we have accomplished the goal of taking Diretto.se from beta to launch. We have had a lot of positive response from users and from the market survey. We have identified several partners. 30 occations of employment have taken place during the public beta. The majority of the people who got a job via Diretto had never worked in Sweden before. This indicates that there is potential for great social impact. Established people are given a possibility to contribute to integration at the same time as a practical need is met. With Diretto it´s easy pay the right tax.
Expected long term effects
We are confident the product has a great commercial potential. We also see that it fills an important function from a sustainability standpoint. With the growth of the gig economi there is a need for a transparent alternative with correct taxes which also contributes to integration. We already have some successes where Diretto has made a difference in peoples lives. The challenges are that the concept of a private person as employer is unknown and we have many users with low language skills. We think the product has potential for scalability but it´s not been proven within this project
Approach and implementation
Closed betatesting was done at SFI and by invitation. Second set of testing was public. We have made interviews and surveys. This has resulted in very valuable insights for the development of the webiste even though we had to prioritize hard. We had to make an upgrade of supplier during the project. We have made instruction films and searched for partners, meetings have been held with arbetsförmedlingen, trade unions, other startups and charity organizations - this has resulted in two partnerships.
