Important results from the project
The project objective has been to develop a business plan for eSite Empower. After an analysis of eight areas, we have selected "home energy management" as a priority area together with initial target markets. Three actors (a local supplier / operator of solar energy, a global dealer, and a regional battery supplier) have been studied to find the right go-to-market set-up B2B2C. Based on this, a business plan has been prepared together with a roadmap for commercialization 2021. As an important part of this, a planned application for funds Q1 2020 from the EU Horizon phase 2 is included.
Expected long term effects
Results from the project are: - 3 key partners have been identified and engaged, role-sharing for go-to-market has been prepared - Addressable market has been quantified for eight different applications, and an application (home energy management) has been selected. - 2 initial geographic markets have been prioritized - a gap analysis has been carried out and technical requirements have been updated for the selected application. A roadmap for technology and commercialization has been established. - A business plan has been established
Approach and implementation
The implementation of the project has been as follows: Identification of key partners, three players have been engaged and through use of several meetings use cases and role distribution incl. go-to-market have been defined A market research has been carried out, partly in the form of meetings with key partners but also by acquiring market research from various sources. Requirements analysis for a "home energy mangement" product has been done (gap analysis from the current situation) and a roadmap has been prepared. Based on the above activities, a business plan has been established.
