Important results from the project
This grant funded two research projects concerning Corporate Social Sustainability and ESG-investments. Our results, published in three research papers, give new insights of the drivers of green investment and value creation of CSR firms. The papers will be submitted to leading international finance journals and have been presented at leading conferences and academic institutions around the world.
Expected long term effects
The granularity of Swedish data has made it possible to understand investment decisions by individuals, and hiring-decisions of firms to a much greater detail than in the previous academic literature. We believe that the results will have great impact on future research in the area, and is also valuable for both practitioners as well as policymakers.
Approach and implementation
Both projects required extensive data collection, matching and analysis. The data has also been manually matched and cleaned by hired research analysts. The leading researchers were not paid by the grant.
