Important results from the project

The project displays real time data for a city in a digital model. Includes real time data from cars, IoT (water level/ bicycle measurement) as well as the possibility for residents to report events that together with socio-economic data are displayed in a 3D model within a GIS system. The project investigated opportunities for gender equality and inclusion in the digital visualization of Luleå city center. Through presentations, conversations and meetings with own/other project, common patterns and inspiring ideas were identified. The result was used in the developed digital model.

Expected long term effects

The project has demonstrated the possibility of System of systems by running different platforms embedded in an integration platform and being able to share real time data between different systems. The visualization of real time statistical socioeconomic data takes place both in the integration GIS platform. An expected outcome, Insight: The need for an integration platform to manage real time data as well as visualize and increase the area of use of the GIS platform. The project is lacking in the sense that relevant data is missing. It is a clear need to improve its handling/retrieval

Approach and implementation

Via workshop capture which systems with available data existed and what we would like to measure with IoT. The outcome was; the systems that today "measure" something do not have the right accuracy to be visualized in a simple way and that the data was mostly historical data, not real-time data. Interviews have been conducted on professional perspectives on gender equality and inclusion using digital support/patterns from these interviews have continuously been woven into the GIS visualization with the common reflection on what could be necessary/desirable/possible to visualize.
