Important results from the project
The project aims to have an effect within the Industry through access to training opportunities via the academy in the form of e-learning. Today, 38 companies of which >30% are SMEs and 11 connected to the user group created by the project have registered 1200 participants for the module training courses. The project has strongly contributed to methodology for now and in the future to give industry access to Internet-based continuing education in collaboration with academia.
Expected long term effects
The project has contributed to the fact that today 65 researchers, 19 of whom are professors from 13 Swedish universities within the framework of The Swedish Production Academy and with support of the project, have developed a methodology to train the industry. A modular internet-based education concept with now 15 module areas and a range to be launched in autumn 2023-winter 2024 consisting of at least 34 education modules is ready. The trainings have attracted >1200 engineers from the start of 2020 from 38 companies. Internationally, the project has been presented within EU-EIT.
Approach and implementation
By starting from a concept (Civil Ingenjör 4.0) developed for education in digitized production -Industry 4.0, a methodology has been developed to be tested for industrial upskilling. The development has taken place in collaboration between the Academy, Vinnova and Industry. Tests have been made possible by internet "porting" of the traditional educational material the project was based on. The result is an educational concept, internet based 100% and scalable for industry and with a quality-assuring academic connection via a deep commitment from researchers and teachers.
