Important results from the project
The purpose of the project is to strengthen the competence of SMEs, Industry and the public sector and the opportunity to use the services of HPC infrastructure. The project ties together competence in Europe and enables the sharing of good examples and experiences. Target has been exceeded for the national center in Sweden. We have carried competence building and reached out to SME, Industry and the public sector who have received both help with the preparation of code and time on HPC infrastructure than other centers and we have been active in sharing our knowledge and working methods.
Expected long term effects
The result is that more new actors have used the common EU HPC infrastructure and to enhance their development. We have trained companies, the public sector, and users from academia. We have produced educational material that has been widely distributed. Everything is available on the website. All KPI have been exceeded and the expected effect of the good work is that we will have an even easier time reaching out to more users because there are good examples. One effect of getting more users is that more development can take place in Sweden and more collaborations between different actors.
Approach and implementation
We started by clearly showing that the center connects many opportunities both in Sweden and to other centers in Europe. The own website was a success that the others followed and have done. We have had meetings every week with both planning and follow-up to get the best progress and use our different skills and networks. We have been active in various networks and participated in other events. We have arranged our own industry days which have also become a success that others want to learn from to reach SMEs and industry. We have been successful because we have outreached the ecosystem
