Important results from the project
Gävleborgs task is to foster implementation and stimulate use of climate smart transport system. A reality lab has potential to be a vital component in the value chain needed to achieve this mission. It also has potential to attract complementary skills, female entrepreneurs and international experiences in a strong mix. A reality lab also must work with leadership, managing attitudes and traditional models to bring good forces together toward a common goal.
Expected long term effects
The project has focused on establishing engagement for a larger reality lab, involving public and private actors. After the pilot project support for a reality lab is solid. The importance is further strengthened by the cooperation between Sweden and Germany in the field of e-highways, where regional cooperation will be important. During the pilot project the first steps toward precurability and standardization has been taken. The project has also enabled us to contact several SMEs with capacity to build subcontracting resources.
Approach and implementation
Meetings and smaller seminars in addition to a survey, targeted at regional SMEs with potential to build subcontracting networks, have been carried out in the Pilot project. Involved representatives from industry, big and small, politicians, academia and other public and private stakeholders with interest in sustainable transport, its implementation, use and effects have been engaged. Prime focus has been to establish commitment, assess need, demand, building a coherent value chain towards a multifunctional realitylab for long term sustainable transportation.
