Important results from the project
The project has built an initial structure for a thematic eco-system within electrification, energy and mobility with a focus on building collaborative projects and demonstrators between companies with cutting-edge solutions and larger companies for a faster and innovative transition towards solutions for electrifictaion. Furthermore, the structure and working methods has been piloted in five demonstration/innovation projects, which has led to in-depth collaboration between larger companies and innovative suppliers.
Expected long term effects
The projects has led to several results, the first being a structure and working processes to identify and develop collaboration, often in the form of demonstration and development projects (POC/POV) between larger companies and innovative solution providers. Second, the initial eco-system structure has been taken onwards with additional external funding, both expanding it to encompass international collaboration and to continue building the base structure and model. Third, it has led to POC/POV projects, with external funding, that have then been taken further by the parties.
Approach and implementation
The approach turned out to lead forward, while the project learned several lessons, including the importance of thematic focuses/areas in which there is a need, which proved to attract and clarify next steps and involvement, the value of joint physical meetings to create a "sense of urgency" and trust, and that the development work around a demonstration/development project takes time and in this there is a need for a process that supports the implementation and speeds up the start-up phase.
