EIC Pathfinder - PTFE free GDLs

Purpose and goal

The goal of the project is to prepare and submit a proposal to EIC Pathfinder. The project proposal is about replacing PTFE with Bright Day Graphene´s bio-based graphene.

Expected effects and result

A proposal will be sent to EIC Pathfinder. It will then be processed by the EIC. If the proposal is approved, the project will be able to be implemented, leading to increased use of bio-based materials in fuel cells as well as reduced use of "forever chemicals" such as PTFE. A decision from the EIC will be received at the end of 2025.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will create a consortium of at least three parties in three approved member states, carry out some preparatory tests and collect information, and then write a proposal and submit it. Proposal will be developed in collaboration with other consortium members and writing consultants.
