Important results from the project
The aim of this project is to deliver a database consisting of generic, customisable test methods for a chosen set of active safety functions within ADAS. The test methods shall be generic enough for a test method developer to be able to customise the method to satisfy a requirement owner who wants to verify the actual function. The project shall also deliver test software and analysis software. The software shall support the test engineer during testing and analysis of the results.
Expected long term effects
The project has met the goals and expectations set before the start of the project. A database has been developed, consisting of generic, customisable test methods for a chosen set of active safety functions within ADAS. The test methods are generic enough for a test method developer to be able to customise the method to satisfy a requirement owner who want to verify the actual function. The project has also developed test software and analysis software for support.
Approach and implementation
The project was divided into three work packages (AP1-3) to be carried out, led, and followed up in a structured and efficient manner. In AP1, the general test method database was developed together with processes that provide support for developing the test methods. In AP2 and AP3, test software and analysis software were developed for selected general ADAS test methods. The project has been carried out at AstaZero in Gothenburg, but the knowledge and experience for developing test methods have been acquired from test and verification of ADAS functions at AZ’s test track outside Borås
