Important results from the project

CEVT contributed with automotive use case. CEVT contributed as co-author of a scientific publication. Main contributions are limited to Common technology elements and In-vehicle Networking & ECU. The paper titled "SaSeVAL: A Safety/Security-Aware Approach for Validation of Safety-Critical Systems" was presented at 2021 51st Annual IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks Workshops (DSN-W). The work aims to achieve safety validation of the vehicle w.r.t. security concerns.

Expected long term effects

The results enable a cross-domain (security, safety, privacy, automotive, health and rail) reference architecture, design patterns and common security/privacy technology components which can be embedded in-domain specific solutions to guarantee safety and performance requirements. The results have had a visible impact in several standardization committees and impact on future European roadmaps.

Approach and implementation

According to the final review of the SECREDAS project by the European Commission and 4 external reviewers: “We have a positive impression of the project. We see a good evolution and technical advancement for the community. The project has achieved good individual results and showed them in a multitude of demonstrators. The standardisation work and the dissemination efforts to the public are much appreciated”. (https://secredas-project.eu/)
