Important results from the project

Our project contribution had the following purpose: 1. Investigate the practical implications of developing a CPS (demonstrator) to fulfill multi-concern product requirements in accordance with multiple process standards. 2. Collect the knowledge. Furthermore, the on beforehand given direction of the company was fulfilled: To strengthen local competence and national competitiveness, to strengthen customer collaboration and being a significant leader in combining safety and embedded systems.

Expected long term effects

Direct expected use of techniques and methods to facilitate the need for safe connected vehicles has been achieved in particular within the cybersecurity area. This has been done via an increased capability to perform consultant assignments (outside this project), including competence development individually and in collaboration with other parties. Other effects are standardization for cybersecurity (by participation in SIS TK 240/AG11) and exchange with other research projects. The project did also conduce a clarification of the relationship between Safety and Security.

Approach and implementation

The work packages were organized to maximize the ability to work efficiently. Clear delimitation of the work has been beneficial to minimize loss for the coordinator while also all project members were part of other tasks and work packages. Next level of collaboration was working together with a Swedish partner in a number of regular work meetings. At EU level, our participation and contribution was in plenum and telephone conferences where our opinions and experiences were shared.
