Important results from the project
The project builds on the work in Östergötland and highlights the region´s strong innovation system as a basis for a national coordination of civil-military synergies. We propose a national program office, with Linköping Science Park as coordinator, which strengthens cooperation between civil and military actors and by dealing with obstacles and promote collaborations strengthen Sweden´s security, innovation and growth.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to contribute to developing new collaborations that contribute to local, regional and national development and growth. The project creates the conditions to mobilize future investments and development initiatives that contribute to a strengthened total defense and new job opportunities.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out by Linköping Science Park and LEAD in collaboration with Almi and Visual Sweden. The project group, which met weekly, included actors such as SME companies, SAAB, researchers from FHS, Ukrainian startups and accelerators. The group also participated in workshops and seminars, including Tamsec and activities on Ukrainian startups. In parallel, LEAD established the Civil-Military Defense Accelerator, and the results were compiled in a report.
