Important results from the project
The purpose has been to support the companies’ software engineering: - ensure excellent competence for the companies - utilize results from earlier phases - advance the research front in the prioritized theme areas This is achieved by close, iterative collaboration between researchers and industry in regular meetings. Specific research studies and master thesis projects have contributed to both knowledge exchange as well as advancement of the research front, where the researchers are top ranked.
Expected long term effects
For the contributing companies: - more efficient software engineering and staff recruitment - inspiration through networking with other companies and academia For the academic partners: - high quality research results, published internationally - good access to company network for empirical studies and validation of research results
Approach and implementation
The research was organized in themes, with multiple academic and industry partners, focusing on A) configuration of and interaction with Internet of Things, B) parallel execution on embedded systems with machine learning focus, and E) more efficient software engineering through operative and strategic decision support in the test process. These themes build on results from earlier phases of EASE and has advanced the research front in the areas of the project.
