Important results from the project
The target of this projekt is to set up a regional Venture Capital Fund for SME´s and innovations in very early stages. The set up of the fund builds on a partnership with Robolutions Capital, the European Investment Fund and private investors in Sweden. The target is to raise 400-500 MSEK by Q2 2015. We are well under way to achieve this - a LOI with Robolution Capital was signed on December 1:st 2014.
Expected long term effects
The lack of Venture Capital in very early stages is a major challenge for Sweden as well as other countries in Europe. The fund that will be set up through this project will significantly contribute to a solution of this issue.
Approach and implementation
The project is led by Helena Berggren, Visionallience AB, who will have the local mandate in the fund. Robotdalen´s role is to provide the ecosystem and a substantial part of the deal flow for the fund. The project is on schedule.
