Purpose and goal

Development of mobile APP for both healthcare professionals and end users in a clinical trial. The APP will communicate via Bluetooth with an Exoskeleton developed by the Norwegian partner Vilje Bionics. The APP development will follow the regulatory requirements and applicable standards, especially the ISO 62304 standard, to ensure safety during the clinical trial. The APP will initially be developed for the Android operating system.

Expected effects and result

The use of a robotic arm enables improvements for patients with reduced mobility. Själva APPen is a tool for basic settings of the Robot arm´s various parameters that are performed by healthcare personnel. The app will also have options for minor adjustments that can be performed by the user himself.

Planned approach and implementation

The app will be developed in a first edition by Q2 2025. This edition will be used in a clinical study. The results of the study will then be included as a basis for the next edition, which is planned for the beginning of 2027 The development will take place in close collaboration with Vilje Bionics As the app is part of a medical device, the development work will follow applicable standards such as 62304. Together Tech is also certified according to iso 13485.
