Important results from the project
Communication, collaboration, competence supply and joint projects that the majority of members can benefit from are examples of identified factors that form the basis for an active test bed. During the project, major steps have been taken towards a test bed that actively contributes to the utilization of the future sustainable materials. Completed activities have laid the foundation for the management of an active test bed where the customer´s needs are in focus. An organization is now being consolidated with an offer that substantially contributes to sustainable development.
Expected long term effects
The realized pilot projects have demonstrated the test bed´s versatility and width in terms of equipment and competence. Completed seminars and workshops have generated new research questions that form the basis for new joint projects in the established test bed. With newsletters and publications, interest has been aroused in questions related to longevity and durability of polymer materials. This is expected to form the basis for the continued work within the test bed and the expansion of the member program consisting of organizations with durability and sustainability agendas.
Approach and implementation
The testbed project "Sustainable materials of the future" have involved and engaged companies with interest and knowledge in durability. Through meetings, workshops, presentations at seminars, newsletters and articles in various industry forums, the project and the test bed have been marketed. With the implementation of organizational work packages, mapping of expansion, organization and operation of the test bed has been carried out. Here, other member programs have been considered, including the test bed for plastics recycling and the member network Kemikaliegruppen.
