These project develop or have developed new business model innovations or research results in a number of different areas linked to Drive Swedens objective.
Expected long term effects
Business Model Lab has been expected to (1) develop business models to stimulate sustainable mobility innovations; (2) spread knowledge about new mobility business models to the wider Drive Sweden-network; (3) generate business model projects; and (4) bridging the “valley of death” for new mobility innovations by forming and supporting scale-up initiatives. The project has succeeded in this through active participation and arranging of thematic area meetings, webinars and workshops as well as by creating, supporting and running project for R&D and scaling up of innovations.
Approach and implementation
The plan was to carry out 8 thematic workshops, designed to tackle the industry partners´ specific business model challenges and promote collaborations between the various the actors. Generalized lessons were to be documented and disseminated to Drive Swedens´s partners. This has also been implemented. The lab has developed its methodology, increasingly focusing on concrete problems and solutions requiring business model development. Dissemination was done through reports, presentations and through thematic area meetings and webinars where various experts participated.
