Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** A prototype for documentation support through generative AI has been developed in collaboration with social workers. The aim is to, with support of technology, free social workers from administrative time and increase the time in meeting with the resident, as well as find out the interpretation of the legal space connected to AI. The technical solution, support by generative AI, listens to the conversation between a social worker and a resident. From the conversation, the AI sorts what is said based on research-based risk and protection factors.
Expected long term effects
A prototype for documentation support through generative AI has been developed. The prototype still needs to be trained in order to be put into operation. But before that, information security needs to be determined. A risk and impact analysis based on GDPR has been carried out. Through the use of AIn, social workers´ administrative time is expected to be halved. In addition to that, the quality of the data in the investigation process is ensured as AIn sorts the information based on risk and protection aspects that are established by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare.
Approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The technical function has been developed together with social workers and IT consultants from PWC. Social workers have tested and developed the tool through role-playing and made comments regarding user-friendliness. A legal investigation has begun in collaboration with external consultants. Follow-up research with Lund University has been discussed for evaluation of AI´s consequences for social workers and municipal residents. Research grant not granted.
