Important results from the project
The project has addressed the wide problematic of the implication of the digitalization for the power electronic converters and their integration in the electric networks. The project started to investigate, in the particular field of power electronics, new ways of formulating such a techno-economic framework for the evaluation of innovation features of products & services for the electric distribution business. The project intends to contribute to developemnt of methodologies and ideas for digital R&D strategies.
Expected long term effects
The work done has produced a structured view on the digitalisation impacts on power electronics converter and has opened the way to new research topics that, hopefully, will be pursued in the future through further collaborations and common activities. This achievement is the result of a fruitful integration of the ideas and experiences of the two experienced researchers from academy and industry. The project has produced a paper that will be submitted to an international journal
Approach and implementation
Even with challenges in bringing together academy and industry in positive collaboration the project has achieved valuable results. Further collaboration activities will be a spin-off of this project.
