Important results from the project

The project has achieved its subgoals, 1 to identify and delimit themes for step 2, Scalable tools for deeper understanding of residents, and The mentor factory, and choose target groups young people and people born outside of Sweden 2. To enlarge the project constellation that now includes more municipalities, additional parts of Stockholm city, and several companies that sell systems for citizen participation, and 3. Prepare an application for step 2 that will be submitted Aug 31 2017.

Expected long term effects

In the long term, the project results are expected to contribute to a better communication between municipalities and a broader section of residents. Based on this the municipalities will be able to improve their service.

Approach and implementation

The project has participated in Vinnova’s program conference and held two workshops during the spring. Regular meetings have been held in the project steering group where a continuous discussion have been going on about needs and target groups in municipal service, as well as delimit and prioritize to create a reasonable scope for the step 2 project. The discussion have been regularly informed through interviews and meetings with staff working with different aspects of citizen participation in Stockholm city and Skellefteå kommun.
