Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We have produced two reports for Vinnova regarding digital services for mental illness. The first report mapped the existing digital services for care and self-care of mental illness in Sweden, through public data and interviews, and summarized the scientific literature. For the second report, we analyzed a unique dataset from private companies and public records, to examine the services and outcomes in more detail.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The first report mapped which digital services are offered in Sweden. We illustrated aggregate-level patterns of user characteristics based on data we requested from regions. We made an overview of how the tools relate to existing research. The second report included an evaluation of opportunities and barriers for digital psychological services and self-care tools. It also contained a summary of the research. Finally, we analyzed data from digital healthcare companies linked to registry data. We have presented the reports in several forums.

Approach and implementation

The reports´ data material has been collected through various methods. We have interviewed leaders at companies that offer digital services for mental health. We have contacted regions where the companies are based to get access to public aggregated data. We have received aggregated data from Mindler. After an approved ethics application, we have accessed anonymized individual data from Kry which Statistics Sweden linked to their data and to the National Board of Health and Welfare´s registry. We then analyzed the data material and carried out literature searches.
