Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Digital reading coach whose aim was to develop an application that works as an intelligent, virtual listener is completed. Within the framework of the project, we have developed a beta version of the digital reading coach application. We have developed and tested it together with students aged 8-9 years. From the beginning, the project´s idea was that the reading coach would function as a hologram. But at needs gatherings and trials with students and teachers, they emphasized that a game-based reading coach was preferable. That´s how it turned out!

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project succeeded with its expected objective and has developed a prototype of an intelligent application that acts as a digital reading coach for students aged 8-9 years. It is structured as a game where students read analogously for the reading coach. There is a story that runs like a common thread in the application. The story is about the children helping a space creature that crashed on Earth with its spaceship home. This is done by collecting spare parts. The children read to these spare parts and get by by performing various reading assignments.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project has worked in five sprints based on a model for design thinking and user design. In all sprints, we have had close contact with the users and developed the prototype in collaboration with them. We have carried out regular test beds at a distance with students and teachers and guided the development based on the analyzes we made during these. We can state that it is a way of working that is incredibly useful and important in all service development. By studying ( via video meeting) how the students approach the reading coach, we have learned a lot!
