Important results from the project

The purpose is to support integration of foreign-born women and men who are experiencing difficulty in entering into the labor market due to insufficient Swedish language skills. The project adheres to the sustainable development goals in Agenda 2030. The project is fulfilled as we have developed and tested digital language and navigation tools for support in language and communication of the foreign-born and actors who work with them.

Expected long term effects

Our digital platform solution provides the language support requested by those who are foreign born, such as professional Swedish and communicating with employers and authorities. Municipalities and authorities often have slow digital ecosystems where the target group has little opportunity to influence the content of saved information. Our solution involves a system change, as the users can share their information with, for example, municipalities and employers.

Approach and implementation

We have worked closely with the target group foreign born persons, capturing of their experiences and opinions and identified their needs. Design, development and testing have taken place in a number of iterations with the needs of the target group and those who work with this target group. Networking with new stakeholders as well as collaboration with actors from civil society, business and authorities have provided different perspectives and enabled solutions and goal fulfillment.
